Job Description:

blumshapiro, the largest regional accounting, tax and business advisory firm based in New England, is seeking a manager/director to join the Audit Group in our Cranston, RI office.  

Audit Manager oversees staff, seniors and supervisors on financial statement audits and special projects. Maintains a thorough understanding of business practices and applies knowledge and critical thinking to strategize, plan and implement department and industry activities. Self-motivation and the ability to grow industry while developing talent and leading audit engagements is of utmost importance in this role.

 Mentor and develop new staff by sharing experiences

Experience and Skills:

Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other business field of study and 10+ years of experience as an auditor in a public accounting firm or related business experience
  2. Leadership and talent development experience
  3. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  1. CPA
  2. Knowledge of US GAAP, US GAAS
  3. Understanding of business and accounting issues
